Xylo meets maschine Xylo meets maschine

Hello!

Within all of us is a varying amount of space lint and star dust, the residue from our creation. Most are too busy to notice it, and in some it is stronger than others.

For a few years now we have been trying to make music the way we imagine it. We are still trying, but hey – we’re really making progress!

Over the years, we added some awesome Orff xylophones, some excellent microphones and  also a lot of technical stuff, the basics for transforming our ideas into sounds.

We’ll keep at it, feel free to come back once in a while and check on our progress.

Hi, I’m Ilka and I’m totally in love with xylophones. I love their sound and feel, especially when they are made out of wood, like mine. I compose most of my melodies on my xylos and I use them and all kinds of weird percussion to add some unique accents to instrumental pieces.
I also love to sing, a special joy that’s been with me my whole life, and now it’s time to put all this together and turn it into songs.. yeahh!

In a world full of people… I fly for a living and, like the sky, music has always felt like a place that just makes sense.

Songs are like moving pictures to me. Ever since the days of brand new 808s, when Junos and Jupiters were the brightest objects in my universe, vocal melodies have touched my heart like nothing else can and electronic sounds have created the most colorful, intricate shapes in my mind.
